Energy Legs!
August 24th, 2009 |Hey gang. Haven’t gotten around to posting much lately, for which I apologize. At least the comics have all been on time.
Which brings me to my point for this entry. #38 just doesn’t sit right with me. That third panel? It sucks. Outright. I went through ten attempts at that, and finally had to settle for this as the deadline closed in. I don’t consider myself a good artist by any stretch, but this one really bugged me. I’m hoping the next installment won’t disgust me to look at.
On another note, I’m noticing a lot of traffic coming in from this blog that billed me as catering to a sub-culture? Yeah, can’t deny that. Some of the commentors don’t think too well of me, and that’s cool. This thing isn’t for everyone. Well, most people actually. I’m not going to pretend I’m a great writer or artist. This is what I can do, and even if it’s nothing impressive, at least I’m trying at something.
Seems I also turned up at a bad comics wiki, which I expected to since I started doing this thing. But then, Ctrl Alt Del is on that same list, and they seem to be a pretty solid comic, so I guess maybe I just rubbed someone else the wrong way.
The only real problem I had was the implication that my comic is somehow encouraging people in the bondage scene to go out and expose this sort of thing to kids. That’s really pushing it. Honestly, I wouldn’t want kids to see, or even know about this kind of lifestyle. There are people who enjoy public walks in their suits (which isn’t to say they’re wrong for that. I mean, they’re fully dressed after all) but it’s not as if they’re going out and fornicating in public, and I imagine most avoid areas where kids are going to be playing. Mind you, I would never have the nerve (or the body) to take a public walk, so I can only speak for myself in my opinions here. But back to my original point, no, I do not encourage my fellow bondage fetishists to go out and rub their lifestyle into the faces of impressionable youth. My characters are fictional, in a fictional, stupid world where they won’t accidentally run into said youth. It’s a comic, and one rooted in fantasy. Just as you’re not likely to bump into a dragon on your way to work, you’re not likely to find a city where a bondage group pretty well dominates the society. So please, take this thing with a grain of salt. I’m drawing a comic about girls in rubber suits spanking each other, not leading a cult.
If you’re one of the people who found this via the blogs or bad wikis, awesome. I’m glad for the exposure, and grateful to anyone who gives this thing a shot, even if it’s just once.

Don’t sweat it .. you’re doing allright.
And if some don’t like it, other will.
It’s the nature of the internet that you will meet a lot of immature people.
Or even mature people, acting immature.
Don’t let it get you down.
I for one, simply enjoy the comic when it updates.
Cheers!
