It’s a strange thing to be doing a comic that actually gets noticed. I realize I have people who are expecting things of me, and I’m not used to living up to expectations. I was always critical of my own art, now I look at it with half-disgust because I can’t draw as well as I need to for this.

There are a lot of great, talented artists out there, especially bondage artists. I have no delusions about my skills – they’re very meager. At best, I’m a below-average cartoonist, and at my worst, I’m another guy who let a childhood of cartoons and comics lead him into a lie.

And so it makes it that much more meaningful that you readers appreciate what I do here. You could do much better online, there’s not a lack of choices. Yet for some reason, you are entertained by this, and by that act, give me a meaningful purpose in my day to day life. I’m not an important person on the street. I work a lousy job, like many of us, and get by with the bare minimum. So I can’t tell you how nice it is to come home and find the nice things you folks have left for me. Makes life seem worthwhile.
